IRS Rejects 20,000 Fake Claims… But Not Yours

Today the IRS announced they rejected 20,000 fraudulent ERTC claims out of the 3.6 million filed (0.5% of all claims).

These are claims related to fake entities who did not have operations during the pandemic nor any employees.

They did not reject any legitimate claims including any filed by BGP.

The IRS has the technology and process to stop fake companies with no employees from filing.

We're now seeing them exercise those controls before refunds are paid.

The withdrawal process deadline is 12/31 which can be interpreted to mean that any legitimate entity can expect pending refunds early in 2024.

For additional assurance regarding your ERTC claim, please read our post from Oct 27th.
