IRS moves forward with Employee Retention Credit claims

On August 8th, the IRS issued a favorable press release indicating progress on Employee Retention Tax Credit (ERC) filings.  LINK HERE

The IRS says that they plan to expedite the processing of ERC claims while continuing efforts to prevent improper payments. According to the press release, 50,000 ERC claims have been prioritized and are moving through the processing pipeline, with payments expected to begin in September. Another large batch of claims is scheduled for processing later this Fall.

Boston Growth Partners monitors each claim weekly and will notify you once we get new information.

The IRS also says they are lifting the moratorium on processing ERC claims made after September 14, 2023. Previously, claims filed after September 14, 2023, were on processing hold. However, the IRS will begin processing claims submitted between September 14, 2023, and January 31, 2024.

Should you have any questions regarding these changes or need further information on the status of your ERC claim, please do not hesitate to contact us.
